I would think that with all the cotton being grown and all the cotton fields and cotton farmers there are in the U.S. it should be obvious that cotton can be used for making money. They're not growing it for their health. But I get it , I know you are wanting to know if cotton is one of the materials used in the paper our money is printed on. So to set the record straight according to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing , yes cotton is indeed one of the materials used in American currency. According to the Bureau, currency paper is comprised of 25% linen and 75% cotton. Linen is made from the fibers of the flax plant.

Now there's a question I bet a lot of people would like an honest answer to. Including me.
I just did a Google search for can you make money online and it gave me 206 million results pages. WOW !!! Now I haven't looked at each result but I'd be willing to bet that at least half are trying to peddle some crap to those of us who are wondering if you really can make money online. Now given that somewhere around 80% of searchers never look past page 2 of the search results, I'd guess that leaves about 80 million of the chumps that's trying to fleece us out of our money that haven't figured out how to make money online themselves. Besides the people that really know how to make money online hardly ever write about how to make money online, they're busy doing what they do to really make money. What I do know is if you want to make money online, you've got to find a niche that people are interested in. This is one thing that has been a stumbling block for me personally. Then you create a site around that niche using as many keywords and related phrases as possible. Next you've got to get your site to the top of the search results for keywords related to your niche. This requires getting backlinks to your site so google will see your site as important enough to rank you in their search results. Organic traffic is the best way to make money. Paying for ads can eat up your life savings in a hurry without returning any profits if you don't know exactly what you're doing. Now hopefully after all this work you've picked a niche that people are actually interested in buying products related to it.
Conclusion
I do believe it's possible to make money online. I don't think it's going to happen by spending your childrens inheritance buying crap from online marketers trying to sell you on the idea that they hold the secret to instant online success. I think it comes from lots of hard work and getting your mind wrapped around the concept of online marketing. Apparently some people grasp this concept easier than others as I have been struggling with it for about 5 months now and have yet to make 10 bucks. I'm not one to abandon an idea of give up just because I'm getting my butt kicked, so I'll keep plugging away at it. And if I ever figure out exactly how it's done I'll share it with you. NOT..

Cottonballs or Cotton Balls or Cotton's Balls

After studying my own results I am seriously wondering if anybody has a clue as to how google ranks a page in the serps.
I was checking out all the sites on cotton balls and I ran across a video about a woman that was scared of cotton balls.I haven't played it yet but apperantly she is going to face her fears of cotton balls and frogs , live for the whole world to see. I'll update you on this later
Any how a search for cotton balls fetches you about 1,290,000 results. with cottonballs.com sitting on the very top. Of course they are in the market to sell the fuzzy little devices.
If you work your way down the first page you will find ideas on how to make cute little chicks for Easter with cotton balls and egg cartons. Now this is an unlikely pair don't you think ?
The one thing I didn't find on googles first page results for cotton balls was where the hell they come from . So which came first the cotton ball or the cute little homemade chick.
My guess , since the chick is made from ,, yup cotton balls ,, oh and egg cartons ,, the egg and the cotton ball must have been around before the creation of the homemade Easter chick. Why the egg ? ,, cuz there would have been no reason for the egg carton without the egg being here already.
Now that is a lesson in logistics if ever there was one.
Just in case anyone was wondering ,,cotton balls are not man made, although they are farmed by man and harvested by man and used by man for a variety of reasons. True story,, google it and see.
Now if this story finds it's way to anywhere close to a search for cotton balls I'm gonna know something is up. as a matter of fact I would be truely shocked if it isn't kicked out of the search results altogether for keyword stuffing, which by the way is a big google no no.

Since I am actually ranking for this I will throw in a freebie. You can use the Wordpress Theme Generator to create your own wordpress theme. No it's not adsense ready like the ones above but it's not a huge problem to add adsense to a wordpress template anyhow.
If you don't know how to put adsense on a regular wordpress template you might need to hire someone to build your site for you anyhow ,,in which case I 'm not even sure the adsense themes offered above would help you out much.

Site Build It Scam?

Looks like Site Build It has gotten some major publicity this past week.
Not all good I might add. Apparently Lissie opened a can of worms when she wrote a post on Site Build It Scam Review.
One thing is for sure she drew a lot of attention to her blog and had some comments from a few of the major players in the internet marketing arena.
Even though some of her facts were off in her original post (corrected in a later post) I commend her on writing a review on SBI that is not from one of it's affiliate marketers.
Most Site Build It Reviews come from people trying to promote the site so they can get their commission for the affiliate link.
At any rate she managed to get comments from Grizz and Ken Evoy.

To be fair to Site Build It ,,it's not an outright scam , just a grossly overpriced web site host that gives you limited use of some research tools.
If you're new to internet marketing, read and listen to the Site Build It seminar for free, then use Word Tracker free version and/or Google's keyword tool to do a little research for a decent niche or 2.Find yourself a good host, set up a few sites and get your feet wet. Or better yet use something free like blogger.com . Set up a few blogs and see if you can get some traffic for some decent keywords.
Most of all read and learn. Grizz's make money online blog is a good place to start, and you won't get reamed in the process.

I have been searching all over the place for a good supplier to to get clean red widgets from.
I've got to say when you start looking for widgets , particular colors are extremely hard to find.

I'm not trying to rank for making money online although that seems to be where I'm headed every time I come to write a post in this blog. I can however tell you ,if you're new to internet marketing or blogging or making money online you need to spend some time reading how to make money online for beginners.
That blog is owned by Grizz. It's a plain,free blogspot blog yet it ranks on the front page of the serps for numerous make money keywords. That in itself should prove that this guy knows his shit when it comes to SEO.
I have wasted countless hours and quite a few dollars on worthless junk before running across his site and I can tell you the information he offers (for free by the way) is way more valuable than the crap others want you to pay them for.
Also I would say if you just showed up on the scene thinking that there's fast easy fortunes to be had on the Internet I believe you're going to be highly disappointed.
I have a new approach to the whole idea of making money online and now I'm taking the whole thing as a training experience (an education if you will)
I was a mechanic for many years, (16 to be exact) still am sometimes and I didn't start out at the top of my field, It took years of training to master the profession and even then it was a constant learning experience keeping up with new technology. Well I view this in the same manner now and hopefully I will gain enough knowledge of the matter to be successful at it someday.

After reading Grizz and Vics articles on SEO about getting to the top for do ants scratch there ass phrase I was just wondering how Grizz outranked Vic for do ants scratch there ass and was curious if I could get to the top of the list with do aunts scratch there ass. If I manage to get to the top I'll be learned a lesson that could prove to valuable in the future Well I managed to reach the top of the page for do aunts scratch there ass but I am not even on the first page with the results for do ants scratch there ass. Now while this is interesting it's really getting under my skin as I guess I haven't got a damned clue as to how the search engines rank things. I have a good idea if if I put do ants scratch there ass in here too many more time I'm going to get busted for keyword stuffing ,which should pretty much end my carreer as an interent marketer before I even get started. well I didn't get busted for anything ,,even made it to the top for aunts scratching there ass . so I was wondering just how well I could do making money with brain surgery

what does SEO have to do with making money blogging ?

SEO stands for search engine optimization.

And why is this important for making money ? Well when everything works out just right the search engines read your pages , picks up on the keywords that are on your site and decides where your site should be listed in the SERPs for a particular search someone does.
In order for you to make any money doing this "without costing a buttload for keyword advertising" you need to rank high in the search engines for something that people actually want when they do a search.This way you can get your site seen on the first page for a search result and get some traffic to your site.It all makes perfect sense when you think about it ,it's just like in the real world.Content is your product , your website is your store,The guy that built his store first had the option of the best location. Now you come along with a store selling the same product but you have to be on one of the side roads leading away from the mall. If you want people to come to your store you have to try a little harder than he does. Better product,cheaper price , better customer relations,more advertising, what ever it takes to get some of his business, If everything goes good and you work really hard at it you'll own his store, and he'll be down the street from the mall struggling to get business. That's how you make money in the real world too, right?
Now here's where even the "big dogs" seem to have a little conflict,which is, by the way great for us newbies because we get to hear all of the arguments from both sides of the fence.
SEO consists of on page and off page optimization
On page optimizing (your product)means you want to make sure you use a relevant title for your blog
Use keywords in your posts titles and use keywords in your content.
Off page optimizing(your advertising) involves getting links from other sites.
The best links come from relevant sites with a good PR and are content links using keywords you are targeting. (This might be a problem)
What I gather from all of this is :

1. Since you need a blog to get started anyhow, first start with the on page optimization.
2. Write a few posts with information you have gathered from reading other peoples blogs
3. Get out there and try to come up with some good links to your site.

Trust me there is a lot of information on SEO out there and I will be back to write on this as I move along ,,Right now I have to try to figure out what keywords to target ,since all the "Big Dogs" have pretty much sewed the make money online niche up.

Can the average person make money with a blog?

Well that's exactly what this blog is about.
I'm just the average Joe with absolutely no prior experience in making money online and I have been reading blogs from some of the experts, so I'm on a mission to see if there is a possibility of me making any money doing this following their lead.

I can tell you if you want to give it a try, you better get prepared to do a lot of reading and learning. The Internet is full of information and there really are some "Good Guys" out there that offer up a lot of information on various subjects that will be crucial to any success you might have in a venture of this type.

In the last month I have been reading everything I could find that "Griz" has written about the subject and IMO he has to be one of the most knowledgeable people in the "business"

Two others that I have been reading a lot are Vic and Courtney. Both of these guys are very good at what they do as well and both offer a lot of free information. They also have online training, for a fee of course, but from reading what they offer for free I would be willing to guess the training they offer is well worth the price. Both are on my list as courses I would like to get involved in, just at the present I want to see how far I can get with what I have learned for free.
