Cottonballs or Cotton Balls or Cotton's Balls

After studying my own results I am seriously wondering if anybody has a clue as to how google ranks a page in the serps.
I was checking out all the sites on cotton balls and I ran across a video about a woman that was scared of cotton balls.I haven't played it yet but apperantly she is going to face her fears of cotton balls and frogs , live for the whole world to see. I'll update you on this later
Any how a search for cotton balls fetches you about 1,290,000 results. with cottonballs.com sitting on the very top. Of course they are in the market to sell the fuzzy little devices.
If you work your way down the first page you will find ideas on how to make cute little chicks for Easter with cotton balls and egg cartons. Now this is an unlikely pair don't you think ?
The one thing I didn't find on googles first page results for cotton balls was where the hell they come from . So which came first the cotton ball or the cute little homemade chick.
My guess , since the chick is made from ,, yup cotton balls ,, oh and egg cartons ,, the egg and the cotton ball must have been around before the creation of the homemade Easter chick. Why the egg ? ,, cuz there would have been no reason for the egg carton without the egg being here already.
Now that is a lesson in logistics if ever there was one.
Just in case anyone was wondering ,,cotton balls are not man made, although they are farmed by man and harvested by man and used by man for a variety of reasons. True story,, google it and see.
Now if this story finds it's way to anywhere close to a search for cotton balls I'm gonna know something is up. as a matter of fact I would be truely shocked if it isn't kicked out of the search results altogether for keyword stuffing, which by the way is a big google no no.
Okay since I do use this blog for other purposes I think I'm going to write a few more lines in here to lower the keyword density just a tad , No sense in having one of my good sites de-indexed for stupid shit just to prove something to myself.
Cotton is a soft, staple fiber that grows in a form known as a boll around the seeds of the cotton plant, a shrub native to tropical and subtropical regions around the world, including the Americas, India and Africa. Cotton is a thirsty crop, and as water resources get tighter around the world, economies that rely on it face difficulties and conflict, as well as potential environmental problems. Cotton is a perennial crop in the tropics and without defoliation or freezing, the plant will continue to grow. Cotton-picking is at once the most difficult and most expensive operation in cotton production. Cotton hulls are used for fertilizer, fuel, and packing; fiber from the stalk is used for pressed paper and cardboard. Cotton is planted annually by seed in furrows; the plants are thinned and weeded during the spring growing season. Cotton is a shrubby plant that is a member of the Mallow family. Cotton is the fabric of choice for clothing in much of the Middle East. Cotton fabric is cool and comfortable to wear, resilient, absorbs moisture, is light, washes easily, and dyes well, but can crease quite badly. Cotton Cordell fishing lures were originally developed for fishing guides who needed something that was easy to fish and was sure to work when all else failed. Cotton Cordell fishing lures are more realistic, more durable and more productive than the competition. Cotton Cordell offers tournament-caliber fishing lures that should be in any serious angler's tackle box. The cotton produced by enslaved African Americans not only helped the South but also enriched Northern merchants.
Cotton plantations required vast labor forces to hand-pick cotton, and it was not until the 1950s that reliable harvesting machinery was introduced into the South (prior to this, cotton-harvesting machinery was too clumsy to pick cotton without shredding the fibers). Cotton is used to make a number of textile products. Cotton is harvested when the bolls open. Cotton has played a significant role in history.

Production of the crop for a given year usually starts soon after harvesting the preceding autumn. In 1793 cotton production was improved by the invention of the cotton gin by Eli Whitney.
The fiber most often is spun into yarn or thread and used to make a soft, breathable textile, which is the most widely used natural-fiber cloth in clothing today. Shiny cotton is a processed version of the fiber that can be made into cloth resembling satin for shirts and suits. Cotton is easily spun into yarn as the cotton fibers flatten, twist, and naturally interlock for spinning.
Every year California farmers grow an average of one million acres of cotton. So there you have it, you can make money with cotton.

Now we are going to find out just how much ranking gets effected by having duplicate content in the article.
